The relevant departments, like the China Tea Science Society, propose the Grain Rain day of the Chinese lunar calendar to be a “national drinking tea day” every year, for all kinds of activities about tea. Tea planters said that the real Grain Rain Tea picked on the day of the Grain Rain, and must pick it in the morning. (This is called the only real Grain Rain Tea.) In fact, some people said that the real Grain Rain Tea could make a resurrection of the Dead. Someone may hear of it, but it is only a legend. Of course, we can know how high the value of the real Grain Rain Tea is in the heart of people. On that day, tea planters keep tea to themselves or entertain guests and visitors. When they make tea for you, they will say to you proudly, “this is tea was picked on the Grain Rain day.” It means that only distinguished guests come here.
Now it is late of spring. We will meet the last solar term — Grain Rain. It is a season to drink Grain Rain Tea.
Grain Rain Tea is also called mid-spring tea—that is, tea before rain, when tea is picked during Grain Rain season. Spring makes the buds bigger, greener, and softer. It has many vitamins and amino acids, which make tea more fresh and fragrant.
Except the shoots, Grain Rain Tea divides into one bud and one shoot or one bud and two shoots. Tea with one bud and one shoot brews in the water like the ancient gun with an unfolded flag, which is called a flag gun; tea with one bud and two shoots like tongue of sparrow, which is called tongue of sparrow. Grain Rain Tea and Qing Ming Tea are excellent products this year. Generally, tea before rain is cheaper, looks better and has better Palate than tea before the Tomb-Sweeping Day. In general, most customers prefer Grain Rain Tea.
